What We Believe

God

There is only one living and true God who is prefect in all His attributes, one in essence. He is the Creator, Redeemer and Ruler of the universe. God is holy and perfect. He reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit through His Word, the Bible, and His Son, Jesus, equally deserving worship and obedience.

Jesus Christ

Jesus is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. He was fully human and fully devine. Jesus Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of  Mary. During his life on earth, Jesus did the will of God, living his life fully free of sin. He suffered and was crucified on a cross as redemption for mankind's sin.  He was raised from the dead with a glorified body and appeared to His disciples. He ascended into heaven's glory and will return again someday to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also live in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spirtual gift when they are saved. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.

The Bible

The Bible (all 66 books) was written by men who were  inspired by our God. It is God's revelation of Himself to us. It is truth without error.  It is the standard by which we must conduct ourselves. The Bible is alive and relevant as in the past, present and future. The Bible constitutes the only standard of faith and practice. A method for us to grow a relationship with God.

People

People were directly and immediately created by God in His spiritual image and likeness in character. God created people to glorify Himself, enjoy God's fellowship and live their live for God. But we are all marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called "sin". This problem separates people from God and causes many problems in life.

Salvation

Salvation is made through God by His grace and it is a free gift to us. Yet each of us must individually choose to accept it. We cna never make up for our sin by self-improvement, morality or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. If you have genuinely been saved, you will persevere till the end.

Eternity

People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salavation. Those separated from God will spend eternity in Hell. Those who have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ will spend eternity in heaven. Heaven and hell are actual, and real places.

The Church

The Church, made up of all people who have a relationship with Jesus Christ. THe Bible speaks of the church as a body with Jesus Christ as the head. Jesus states that the purpose of the Church is to glorify God by communicating God's Word; by celebrating God's presence: by incorporating God's family: by educating God's people; and by demostrating God's love (Matthew 22:3640, 28:19-20). Two ordinaces have committed to the local church: baptism and the Lord's Supper (Acts 2:38-42)
